Drawing? As old as man. The first marks of a man trying to leave something behind that will last, a record of the time in which he lived. What was around him? What did he see? There was a sacredness to this magic process called drawing. To create the illusion of space and motion with line and shading, that was the trick. Then came perspective and science. Now we are seeing deep space for the first time. How do we give these ideas form?
Drawings are notes, thoughts distilled on paper and like a writer how do they communicate the narative? This show addresses all of these questions head on with works on paper, large and small.
